Ability Supports Big Brothers Big Sisters

December 2009

Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. is pleased to announce its support of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of York & Adams Counties’ “Bowl for Kid’s Sake” fundraising campaign. The campaign will run throughout the months of March and April 2010 with over 1,000 participating bowlers who will be raising pledges.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of York and Adams Counties, a United Way Partner Agency, was founded in 1974 as a program of Catholic Charities. In 1990, the agency became independent and has continued to make a big difference...one child at a time. The Big Brothers Big Sisters organization is committed to helping empower at-risk youth to make responsible life choices, to reach their fullest potential, and to enhance their community through professionally supervised mentoring relationships with adult and student volunteer role models.

“This is a perfect fit for Ability,” states Jeffrey M. Brandt, CEO & Founder of Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. of Gettysburg, “Anytime we can take action with the youth of our community to push for positive outcomes through helping kids to make better choices, it is a worthwhile cause and something we want to be a part of.”
