Ability to Sponsor Ski Weekend for Wounded Warrior Project through Blue Ridge Adaptive Snow Sports, Inc. (BRASS)
February 2007
BRASS (Blue Ridge Adaptive Snow Sports, Inc.) and Liberty Mountain Resort are hosting a Wounded Warrior Ski weekend, March 2-4, 2007 to honor those soldiers wounded during their service. The weekend is free of charge for the Warriors, their families and guests. This includes transportation, lodging, meals, equipment, and individualized snow sports instruction.
"Ability P & O is thrilled to be a corporate sponsor of this event" states Jeffrey Brandt, CPO, President and CEO of Ability, "These military personnel have experienced a sudden and traumatic change in physical ability. Participation in sports, such as skiing, helps to develop a positive self-image and outlook."
Not only will Ability provide monetary support, Ability team members will also attend the event to meet and assist the Warriors. "We also plan to have fun on the slopes!" adds Jeffrey Quelet, CPO & Vice President.
Additional information about the event can be obtained by contacting the project coordinator, Janet Hall at janet.hall@usdoj.gov or Leslie White, President of BRASS at info@brasski.org.
