Ability Supports Project Enduring Pride

September 2006

Project Enduring Pride is an authorized and endorsed program by Walter Reed Army Medical Center focused on creating world class events that provide "outreach capabilities" for those amputees in rehabilitation at the hospital or at the National Naval Medical Center.

On September 12-13, 2006, Project Enduring Pride will be holding the Wounded Warrior Golf Tournament at the VWF Post 3285 Frederick, MD golf course. This event will enable area veterans to provide wounded heroes a day away from the hospital ward environment.

Ability will be sponsoring three veterans playing golf in the tournament and will also be providing towels for all the golfers. "We're looking forward to participating in this event," states Jeffrey Brandt, CPO and CEO of Ability, "Not only do we have an opportunity to support the amputee community, we can also give thanks to those servicemen and women who have made such a great sacrifice for our country and our freedom."

"Since we've opened an Ability office in Frederick," adds John Jacobs, CPO and primary practitioner for the Frederick office, "this event also allows us to connect with many disabled veterans in the greater Frederick area, as well to establish a relationship with local government-run operations, such as Fort Detrick."
