-Jacobs and patient kinetic Adj pylJuly 2013, Asheville, NC- Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics is pleased to announce its participation in and planning of the upcoming Amputee Conference; Interprofessional Engagement for the Lower Extremity Amputee.  The conference, to be held in Asheville, NC on August 1-2 and in partnership with MAHEC, will cover a range of topics across the continuum of prosthetics care.  The event will feature guest speaker Dr. Donald A. Gajewski, Director of the Center for the Intrepid, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Ability’s managing practitioners from both Asheville, NC and nearby Greenville, SC patient care facilities, Jacob Townsend, CPO and Brian Kaluf, BSE, CP, will be participating in the regional conference.  Jacob served along with other health care providers on the planning committee to formulate educational content.  Brian will be presenting on outcomes measures, software and documentation.  “It is great that Ability can play an active role in shaping the regions knowledge of prosthetic care,” explains Jeffrey M.
