Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc., along with opening its Frederick, Maryland patient care facility, recently became a 2-star corporate sponsor of the Ft. Detrick Business Alliance.

The Alliance works to ensure the initiatives of Ft. Detrick, which in turn contributes to the vitality of Frederick and Frederick County's economy. The alliance is comprised of representatives from the City of Frederick, Frederick County Government, State of Maryland, Frederick Chamber of Commerce and individual business entities.

"Ft. Detrick is one of Frederick County's largest employers," says Jeffrey M. Brandt, CEO of Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc., "as well as a biomedical and telecommunications hub. Through support of the Alliance, Ability can educate ourselves about Ft. Detrick to better understand federal agencies and contracting opportunities."

Brandt has already participated in a Ft. Detrick open house, which involved both a tour the base and an opportunity to network with other business leaders who provide services to Ft. Detrick.
