Ability Supports WellSpan's Gettysburg Campaign
February 2010
Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. is pleased to announce its support of Gettysburg Hospital Foundation's Care Path Campaign, which is supporting the renovation of Gettysburg Hospital's B-2 wing into a new, state-of-the-art Outpatient Services Unit. The new unit has created a pathway to quality outpatient care reflective of the hospital's long-standing commitment to the people of Adams County and Northern Maryland.
Gettysburg Hospital's Outpatient Services Unit has been created to:
- Provide targeted care to patients meeting defined observation status criteria, as well as to our patients who require short term recovery following a hospital surgical procedure
- Help expedite the care of many patients who enter the hospital's emergency department
- Create a convenient and centralized location for patients who require after-hour infusions and transfusions
- Furnish patient families and caregivers with a more private and comfortable outpatient waiting room
"Ability has serviced patients on the B-2 wing at the Gettysburg Hospital for six years. I was thrilled when the Gettysburg Hospital Foundation asked for our support," explains Jeffrey M. Brandt, CPO & Founder of Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. of Gettysburg, "Our practice has thrived being on Gettysburg Hospital's medical campus so it is important we contribute to improvements in care, quality and process for the patients we mutually service."
