Ability to Demo Hewlett-Packard Laptop
September 2007
Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. has begun participating in HP's Product Demo Program. As a participant in the program, Ability has the opportunity to evaluate, benchmark and test one of HP's newest tablet laptops to determine if the computer fits the needs of a demanding orthotic and prosthetic work environment.
"Ability has operated using the OPIE practice software system for most of its three years in business," explains Clay Barrow, Orthotist & CIO, " and OPIE has been wonderful because allows us to manage the entire patient event from scheduling to reconciling each billing account. The key now is to explore which computers, printers and supporting hardware interface with OPIE to provide the best scalable solutions for practitioners." The software has increased the company's productivity and accountability and has provided much needed standardization across Ability's four offices.
"As our practitioners increase their expertise of computer usage," says Jeffrey M. Brandt, CPO & CEO, "there is an increased demand for a laptop combining all the tools necessary for the Ability practice model. Whether we are in one of our own offices or in a referral source facility, we can effectively, efficiently and with repeatability, obtain and record the necessary data to facilitate clinical treatment and billing."
Features of the laptop include a camera, security features, a tablet and rotary screen as well as compact size.
