Jeffrey T. Quelet, CPO Prosthetist-Orthotist

Jeffrey T. Quelet, CPO, is an American Board for Certification (ABC) Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist who first became interested in the profession while volunteering his time to an adaptive ski program in Winter Park, Colorado. Upon graduating from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Industrial Technology, Jeff began a career at Watkins-Johnson Electronics where he held the position of lead Engineering Planner. In 1997, Jeff revisited his interest in Prosthetics & Orthotics by volunteering his time at the Orthotic & Prosthetic Center in Fairfax, Virginia. Shortly thereafter, Jeff shifted his career path towards Prosthetics & Orthotics. Jeff spent the next two years as a prosthetic and orthotic technician, fabricating artificial limbs and braces.
In 1999, Jeff graduated from the University of Connecticut's Orthotic & Prosthetic program, which is affiliated with the highly regarded Newington Children's Hospital. Jeff subsequently completed his Orthotic residency with Hanger Orthopedic Group, located in Bethesda, Maryland, with significant focus on pediatric orthotics and trauma protocols. Additionally, Jeff rotated through four satellite offices, along with six local hospitals in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Jeff relocated to Chesapeake, Virginia to complete his residency in Prosthetics with Progressive Prosthetics and Orthopedic Services. Having worked at Progressive since 2002, Jeff has serviced primarily adult, below and above-knee amputees. Jeff serviced 7 hospitals in the tidewater region, developing effective protocols for the management of amputees. Additionally, Jeff has opened and managed two branch offices.
Jeff is currently a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP) as well as the American Prosthetic & Orthotic Association (AOPA). Recently, Jeff was instrumental in educating and coordinating several amputees to have Ertl reconstructive surgery. Additionally, he has participated in adaptive ski programs for amputees.
As owner/practitioner of Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. and native of Maryland, it is Jeff's goal to provide the highest level of care, service and education to the patients, referral sources and third party payers of western/northern Maryland and south/central Pennsylvania.
