September, 2012, Gettysburg, PA- Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Scotti Sawyer, CFO and Susi Ebersbach, MT(ASCP), MBA to the Ability team.

Scotti Sawyer, Chief Financial Officer and Controller, brings over 25 years of accounting and finance experience to Ability.  Scotti graduated from Temple University Fox School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration in both Accounting and Economics.  Scotti’s careers in finance and accounting began when she joined the Chase Manhattan Bank’s Capital Markets Internal Audit group, and continued through her work at Commonwealth Bank and Fannie Mae.

Several years later, Scotti started her own consulting company, Castle Financial Consulting, which provided companies with SEC support, restructuring, and mergers & acquisitions.  In this role, one of Scotti’s major clients was NovaCare, which had over 265 O&P acquisitions.  Scotti was responsible for integrating these acquisitions into NovaCare’s general ledger, which included the on-site evaluation of inventory and AR.  Other clients included Service Merchandise, BetzDearborn, EMD Chemicals, Dopaco, and Pulse Electronics.

Scotti is honored to join Ability and looks forward to working within the O&P industry again.  When she is not at work, Scotti enjoys gardening, cooking, fly fishing and being a volunteer fire fighter and fire police.

Susi Ebersbach, MT(ASCP), MBA, has joined Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics as an advanced billing and reimbursement specialist.  Susi brings  over 25 years experience in healthcare management and marketing of ancillary health services with the majority of her experience focused on the orthotics & prosthetics field.  Susi holds a BS in Medical Technology from Miami University, Oxford, OH and MBA from Wright State University in Dayton, OH.

Prior to joining Ability, Susi was employed as the director of reimbursement and compliance for Touch Bionics, Inc., and provided reimbursement assistance, as well as compliance and credentialing guidance in that role. As a healthcare marketing and management professional, Susi also served as an independent consultant to healthcare clients in practice management, business development, marketing and contracting activities.

In addition to the aforementioned roles, Susi has also served as an adjunct faculty member in the Allied Health Division at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio and the director of business development for POINT Health Centers of America, Inc.

While not at work, Susi enjoys music, live theatre performances and travel.
