May 2008

In celebration of Older Americans Month, Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. participated in the annual "Spring Fling," which is sponsored by the Adams County Office For Aging (ACOFA). The event was held on Tuesday, May 20th at the Gettysburg College Hauser Field House. The all-day event provided an opportunity for health care providers to showcase their services and products to the ever-increasing senior population and their caregivers of Adams County and the surrounding region.

Kirk Ferris, CPO, of Ability's Gettysburg, Pennsylvania patient care facility states, "This event allowed us to meet many wonderful people in the community last year, as well as other key providers whose services can compliment ours. This year, we continued to focus on education and awareness. The "Fling" is a great avenue to reach out to people interested in our services. We look forward to furthering our involvement in these parallel programs as we service the people of Adams County and surrounding region."

"I founded Ability here in Gettysburg," says Gettysburg native, Jeffrey Brandt, President and CEO of Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc., "In addition to our Gettysburg patient care center, our rapidly growing corporate headquarters is also based here. I am delighted that as Ability grows throughout the Mid-Atlantic, the Adams County community is a direct beneficiary of company-wide community outreach initiatives."
