Ability Hagerstown Sponsors TRC 5K Race

Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the 3rd Annual Total Rehab Care 5K Race. The 5K run/walk will get underway at 8:30am on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Marty Snook Halfway Park in Hagerstown.
Total Rehab Care is the Washington County Hospital's physical and occupational therapy department. This year's race proceeds will benefit the Medication Assistance Center (MAC) at Washington County Hospital. MAC is a nonprofit organization, dedicated to accessing free or reduced-cost prescription drugs for low income or chronically ill patients. Since 2000, more than 17,255,200 in free medications have been distributed to more than 2,600 patients.
"We are thrilled to be gold sponsors of the race," says Jeffrey Quelet, CPO, VP and managing practitioner of the Ability Hagerstown patient care center, "Ability works closely with both Total Rehab Care and the Washington County Hospital. We have been here in the community for 4 years. TRC has been doing the race for 3 years. My family, patients, friends, referral sources and therapists will all be there raising money for a good cause. It is what we do at Ability."
