- Develop approaches to improve the delivery of an interdisciplinary approach to amputation care.
- Define an ideal model of amputation care & rehabilitation across the continuum of interdisciplinary professionals.
- Assist with optimal functional improvement & community re-entry for our OIF/OEF soldiers/veterans.
- Promote future multidisciplinary collaboration in evaluation & amputation treatment of wounded veterans.
- Utilize new and emerging technologies.
The event will be held December 11-13, 2007 in Clearwater Beach, Florida. "We are thrilled to have been invited to attend this event," says Jeffrey M. Brandt, CPO & President of Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc., "Given that our model of practice focuses on increasing patient care outcomes by standardizing and streamlining all aspects of patient care in prosthetics, this is an opportunity to educate the VA on just how efficient and thorough private prosthetic practices could be when delivering care to their veterans."
