Nick Woeckel, MPO
Resident Prosthetist Orthotist
Nick Woeckel, MPO, is a resident prosthetist and orthotist at the Ability Prosthetics and Orthotics facility in Frederick, MD.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry, Nick worked as a microbiology lab technician. He soon realized he was missing the rewarding nature of his time as camp counselor for children with disabilities during his college summers.
This led him to the field of prosthetics and orthotics. He visited the O&P program at Northwestern University, as well as local clinics, and fell in love with the enduring relationship between patient and practitioner.
After receiving his master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Prosthetic-Orthotic Center in Chicago, Nick joined the Ability Prosthetics and Orthotics team.
Nick is eager to establish himself and his role within the company and the greater community. He’s interested in O&P education, working with the pediatric population, and donating time to adaptive sport programs.
