Ability to Present at Arm Symposium
April 2012, Gettysburg, Pa- Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. is honored to be a part of the 1st Annual Arm Amputee Symposium, Emerging Technology for the Transradial and Partial Hand Amputee; A Collaborative Rehabilitation Team Approach. The Symposium will be held on May 11, 2012 from 8am to 4:30pm at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, DC.
The workshop will introduce therapists, prosthetists and physicians to the latest in prosthetic upper limb technologies for transradial and partial hand amputees. Ability’s John Jacobs, CPO, is among the leading clinicians in the field of arm amputation and prosthetic arm training that will provide an overview of current commercially available prosthetic devices and discuss effective rehabilitation approaches during the pre/post-amputation, pre-prosthetic and prosthetic training phases.
Ability will be joining NRH MedStar, Touch Bionics, Hanger, Otto Bock and RSL Steeper in the Symposium.
