First Swim Clinic – Emmitsburg, MD
Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics is sponsoring a First Swim Clinic by OPAF. This is an introduction to swimming for those with physical or mobility challenges. The clinic will cover adaptive techniques in the water to help increase patients’ levels of comfort in and around the swimming pool.
OPAF instructor Jason Wening, CPO, FAAOP, and a bilateral amputee athlete will be providing expert instruction, discussion and demonstrations. Jason swam in three Paralympic Games (1992, 1996, and 2000) winning five Gold medals and one Bronze medal. His world record in the 1500-meter Freestyle, set in 2000, still stands.
