Ability P&O Hires Chief Operating Officer
Exton, Pa (Corporate Headquarters) January 2015- Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. is pleased to announce the hiring of Kathleen DeLawrence as Chief Operating Officer in a strategic move to advance the company’s growth strategy. Kathleen brings senior management, operational expertise and business building skills to compliment the deep industry expertise and leadership of Founder & CEO, Jeffrey Brandt. She joins Ability after serving on its Board of Directors.
Kathleen has over 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience that includes strategic planning; operational management; supply chain; product launch; marketing and sales operations management; merger integration across small, mid-size and large companies. Kathleen was the Chief Operating Officer for Prism Pharmaceuticals, a VC backed company, which was acquired in 2011 by Baxter Healthcare for a total value over $300M. In this role she was responsible for business operations, manufacturing, supply chain, marketing and sales. Preceding Prism she was the VP and General Manager of Dover Communications, a privately owned medical education company that was acquired by CardinalHealth. Prior to joining the private company ranks, Kathleen has enjoyed a successful career working at AstraZeneca, AstraMerck, Price Waterhouse, and General Electric. For the past three years, Kathleen parlayed her unique business experiences into a strategic consulting practice focused on entrepreneurial businesses in the healthcare and life sciences market.
